Students realize their progress and potential through participation in recitals, festivals and competitions.
Recitals
I provide opportunities for students to perform monthly in recitals, held in my studio and at the University of Colorado. End of semester recitals are held in Grusin Recital Hall at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Students perform solo repertoire from memory, and collaborate with others in duets, duos, trios and concertos. Studio and Grusin Hall recitals are videotaped and I review and analyze performances with students.
Festivals and Competitions
I invite students to perform in festivals, such as those sponsored by Colorado Federation of Music Clubs an (affiliate of National Federation of Music Clubs), Rocky Ridge Music Center, and the Boulder Bach Festival. I also enter students in solo and concerto competitions sponsored by the Boulder Area Music Teachers Association (an affiliate of Colorado Music Teachers Association and Music Teachers National Association).
